Summary
The Imperial ambush on Trogan inspired all the smugglers to meet again and discuss Talon Karrde's proposal to help New Republic. They had met another time, on Hijarna. Ferrier attended the smuggler's meeting where his wraith held the rest of the smuggling leaders hostage on Wild Karrde while Ferrier tried to frame Talon Karrde for the Imperial attack on the smugglers at their first meeting. When that failed because of a careless choice of words the other smugglers discovered that Ferrier was Thrawn's agent and had organized the ambush. Ferrier attempted to escape in his modified Corellian gunship, only to be destroyed in mid-flight by Mazzic's Preybird fighters. After that the Smugglers' Alliance was finally formed.
